The Bible says,“[God] is
the Rock, His works are perfect, and all His ways are just. A faithful
God who does no wrong, upright and just is He,” Deuteronomy 32: 4. This
is on excerpt from the song of Moses after God led the Israelites out of
Egypt and slavery. It makes sense that the Israelites song after they
were free, but can you imagine the Israelites singing this before they
were free? Before this, the Israelites had lived in Egypt and had become
“exceedingly numerous, so that the Land was filled with them.” Exodus
1:7 The Egyptians put slave masters over them to oppress them with
forced labor, and they built Pithom and Ramases as stores cities for
Pharaoh, according to Exodus 1: 11. However, God used Moses to complete
His promise to bring the Israelites out Egypt. This shows that God is
faithful to fulfill His purposes and He still fulfills His purposes in
our lives today.
In Genesis 50:24, the Bible says, “Then Joseph said to his brothers, “I am about to die. But God will surely come to your aid and take you up out of this land to the land he promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.”God had promise to take the Israelites out of Egypt and return them to the Promised land in Israel to free them from slavery. At first, the Israelites didn’t want to believe Moses when he told them that God wanted to take them to the land, that He had promised on oath to Joseph. It was hard for them because they needed to wait a long time for Pharaohs decision of Pharaoh to liberate Israel from slavery. Moses told the Pharaoh to liberate His city, but he didn’t want, However God helped Moses and gave power to send plagues against Egypt to liberate Israel. This shows the faithfulness of God because God gave power to Moses, and helped open Pharaohs heart to obey Moses. God did not leave the Israelites in slavery. He performed many miracles to fulfill His Promises. It was not a problem for God to complete His promises.
Sometimes we think that God is unrighteousness and wants His people to suffer. However, this is not the correct attitude because in everything God has a purpose. He uses life is situations to modify our character. He wants His children to be like Christ. God wants his children to have a good relationship with Him. He wants us to know Him. He wants to know our feelings. He wants to be near to us and to help us. Our situations can help us grow spirituality. One example is when we have a financial problem, but we depend to God. We can choose to believe Him and His promise of prosperity and help for us. God wants to clean us from every bad thing and give us a new and holy life. 2 Peter 1:4 says,” He has given us His very great and precious promises, so that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust”. God want to complete these precious promises that He has in our lives. He uses our tribulations to make us perfect and to show us that He is faithful to complete his promises.
God never dissolved the pact that He had with Israel. He was faithful to complete it. In the same way, God will fulfill, Jeremiah 9:4 says, “Everyone must be on guard against his friend and no one can trust his brother. His promises in our lives and use our problems to make us perfect. God is not my brother He is my father and He said; do not be afraid-I am with you! I am your God-let no thing terrify you! I will make you strong and help you; I will protect you and save you.“ God will fulfill His purposes and promises in our lives. Even when we have problems, we need to remember that, God will complete His promises.
When we are in difficult situations, like when we can’t pay our bills to our University, or when we just need to trust in God.
